Post-pregnancy plastic surgery, often referred to as “postpartum body contouring,” is a set of surgical procedures designed to allow women to regain their pre-pregnancy bodies. Most of the procedures deal with typical post-pregnancy concerns: loose skin on the abdomen, diastasis recti, sagging breasts, and hard-to-shift fat deposits. Common surgeries include tummy tucks, breast lifts, augmentations, and liposuction.
The most popular plastic surgery for women requesting this procedure can include some or all of the following plastic surgery procedures:
- Tummy tuck (also known as abdominoplasty);
- Liposuction to the tummy, hips and/or thighs;
- Breast implants or breast lift and implant surgery;
- Vaginal tightening or vaginoplasty or vaginal tightening after natural childbirth.
What are the risks associated with this procedure?
Plastic surgery, like any surgical procedure, carries inherent risks and potential complications.
Please read our Risks and Complications of Plastic Surgery page.
